Things are going smoothly the first week of the 8 week diet challenge. I weigh in monday and hope like hell I've lost some weight. I have been focusing more the past two months about choosing healthy rather than weight. Things like purified water, organic, vegan, and making my own food from scratch. Even my soy and nut milks and veggie burgers/sausages. Its been fun because I love to cook. My new love is soy cheese, and I have almost mastered that through the fantastic cookbook from Sky Michael Conroy called "The Gentle Chef" and "Non-Dairy Formulary" that focuses on vegan meat and cheeses/milks. I even started my own blog! And I'm super excited about that- OvoVegetarianLifestyle dot com. I currently follow about 50% Raw Vegan, 49% Regular Vegan, and 1% ove-vegetarian (when eggs are eaten, because I raise my own chickens and I eat about 2-4 eggs a week).

Raw vegan is nothing cooked- all from the grown state and unaltered, Vegan is no flesh/meat/dairy/eggs but can be cooked, and ovo-vegetarian allows the consumption of eggs- cooked of course.

Well, counting down the days until weigh in... hoping for a weight loss, but not really caring at this point. Its a good state of mind to not care, I just know I'm eating so much better than I ever have the past 35 years, so thats a win in my book!
