I started to write this as a response to previous comments then I thought - hmmm, kind of long, better make a new entry.
Thank you all for your support. Years ago, when the use of the Internet and the World Wide Web was in its infancy (many of you may have been too young to remember or some may not have even been born yet – in the 1990’s) the web was a very different place. There were relatively fewer people on the Internet. There was no Facetime, little text messaging. Everything moved much, much slower and as we look back, people were friendlier – in fact, even society at the time was more trusting and friendlier.
Well, we see what has happened to all of that. Things change, life changes, societies continue to evolve. Sometimes for the better sometimes, not so much. The thing about this social platform of Fat Secret, it reminds me of a much simpler time. When the Internet was much friendlier. We weren’t as worried about being hacked – as a matter of fact, we weren’t even quite sure what that meant. And, if someone sent you an email or message you would read it. You didn’t have to wonder or worry it was some kind of Nigerian scam, a Trojan virus or someone wanting who got off on sending you pornographic pictures of himself for whatever the reason, I still don’t understand that one (I guess I am too old to get it – lol)
The people here are sincere. Nice, easy to feel an emotional attachment to even though you have no real idea who they are, you know in some way we are all connected. Anyway, thank you all.

I agree with you on some of the points that you are making here. There are many people here who are outstanding and very supportive. In reference to the Internet, it has its bad parts, and it definitely has its great parts. Imagine during this pandemic, if we weren’t able to order anything we wanted on the Internet, get it delivered and stay nice and safe in our homes. Also imagine all the school children who aren’t able to attend school anymore if they didn’t have the Internet. Computers and technologies have change society in many ways for the better. I certainly cannot deal without the technology, it had made life so much fast and so much easier. I’m happy that you like this FS community so do I. I hope you don’t mind me giving you my two cents. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and best of luck on your weight-loss journey.🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰

Ocean girl, feel free to always chime in with your opinion. I love to hear what other people think. We learn so much from other people if we could learn to talk and listen to one another. This has always been a major issue with people. If they could learn to speak and communicate to one another more effectively it would put an end to a lot of the turmoil in the world today. I do agree with what you said, noting all things in life have multiple perspectives, don’t they? There is no doubt, computer technology and the World Wide Web has had as large of an impact on our society as the automobile, the telephone, airplane, and even the television. These have all had a great impact on how we live our lives and how we relate to one another in society. Right?
