Had all good intentions of sitting on my computer and catching up on here. I really need it. A really good friend from another state called and we chit-chatted for a long time, though. Much needed! We've been friends since I was 17 (we went through boot camp and AIT--U.S. Army) together. We are hoping one day to get together with our families. I want to be skinny, though--LOL.

Don't let your weight stop you from getting together. If she is truly your friend she isn't going to care. Just because your weight has changed doesn't me you have changed.

I agree. Hiding from the world because of your weight is not happy. Your friend just wants to re-connect and it's what is in your heart that matters. You are still you ... no matter how much you weigh.

Oh, I try not to let it get to me, but I can't help it. I put on so much. I have a double chin (it's starting to go down!). I don't expect to look like I did, but I sure want to look better than I do. As far as my friend--she wouldn't care one bit! She is the best friend in the world. It's more me, not her--LOL. I just want our hubbies and kiddies to meet. We haven't seen each other in over 30 years! We talk, but have never had the opportunity to get together.

Sounds like a true friend, Jillzee! It's always enlightening to bring up those good memories which have helped shape our realities. [In other words: a 'blast from the past' can be a good thing! I'm glad you enjoyed the reconnection! I'm sure that did you more good than doing computer work, anyway! ;)
