Fasting blood sugar 145; weight 169.4
Plan for the day: green tea fast most of the day. Too many sweets have entered the house because of holidays. I am craving sweets, so now is the time to do a cleansing fast. So far so good: skipped breakfast. I fasted until 6:30 p.m., checked glucose: 108, then ate an egg and cheese sandwich on flax bread, with a 1/2 cup of low carb eggnog. At that point, I weighed wearing heavy sweater and pants, plus my boots and only weighed 4/10 pound more than I weighed in the morning undressed. So hopefully in the morning I will see some success. This has helped me get past that craving for sweets. (A friend had gifted me with peanut brittle and some Atkins peanut butter cups! The Atkins would have been ok, except my body doesn't tolerate sugar alcohols)

I hear you on that! I had a very bad day yesterday with my eating. I am still feeling the affects today so probably won’t be eating until dinner. Just having some coffee. Hope you have a good day today!

It wasn't as hard fasting as I thought it would be. I drank tea all day, then ate my one meal because the glucose was getting low, then back to drinking tea. I hope your day went well!

I had my one meal as well. Drank water all day. My stomach feels much better. It is definitely dangerous having all those goodies around!

I'm trying it again today -- green tea plus one meal. Down 3.8 this morning.
