Love rhubarb. As a child in Colorado we had some growing on the west side of our house. We would eat it raw with salt. No very often cause it is bitter that way. Of course with sweetener it tastes yummy too. A friend gave me a plant. I live in SoCal and planted it on the east side of my house and lost it. If I ever get another, it'll go on the south or west.

Love, love, 💘 the woodpecker pics. We don't see the northern flickers but have the ones like your big guy. I took a pic this morning of one of our jays. It's still a little fuzzy...even with my new phone camera. They move so fast! French toast was always my favorite growing up. Maybe cause it was different from the usual breakfast Mom made of fried eggs. I bought some cherry rhubarb jam in Wisconsin 😋🍒 

Never had rhubarb, but I like tart things. Saw a pair of Woodpeckers this morning in South Florida. Hangin around a Loquat tree. They didnt peck though🤔 

Rhubarb by itself is a bit too tart so strawberry or cherry is needed to balance it out; my wife makes jams with each combo and they are delish! 😋

Thanks guys! ♥️ I uses to eat rhubarb when I was a kid dipped in sugar. We would wander around with a massive chunk and a little bowl with brown sugar. Oh our teeth used to ache from the acidic juices! Good memories!! 😁

Melissa that was our thing too. Rhubarb sticks and sugar. Oh the bitter sweet.
