I think I should stop using this app because I’ve been doing 2500-3000kcal for 5 days now and I really upsets me. I’m good all day and then I break. It’s my birthday in 4 days and I’m gonna be FAT

I did what calories I thought not what it told me because it would have been too slow and I’m impatient the app is just set up to lose weight safely so adjust it to what your happy with 💪

You are doing well with your loss but dont let it rule your life. Its your birthday, enjoy it and afterwards you can get back to being more careful with what you eat. Don't stop using the app, you now know what you are consuming and you can work with it. It's so much easier to stop yourself from eating something when you know you have to note it down. You can get to your goal, it just takes time. Stay strong.

A woman is meant to be 2000 and a man I think 2800 yours is more than both you definitely need to adjust

Get your birthday out of the way and set yourself small goals. Have a deficit of 500 so instead of 2000calories a day you eat 1500cals. Also, drink plenty of water as it helps. you've nearly lost a stone so your going the right direction. Don't give up babe. X

I agree with everyone else; enjoy your birthday and come back to your weight loss journey afterwards. If you're upset about your weight, giving up is just going to make things worse. It's not an easy journey, but you clearly want to lose the weight. Don't give up on yourself.

Everyone has good and bad days so just think of all the benefits you will have if you keep going. As someone already said drink plenty of water, and start again with small goals after your birthday, and that way your birthday next year will be so much better. best wishes

Don't give up cos we all have bad times and that's when its so good to have the support of others on here who KNOW what its like so can fully empathise. Stick with it you WILL make progress. At the risk of sounding trite....'a moment on the lips a month on the hips' - it takes time but you WILL get there.

Sorry to say this but are you an athlete or doing heavy work to use all those cals every day Try with less calories just a bit less what you eat at all your meals and see the difference after a week, I am trying to loose weight and only have 1000 - 1100 calories a day and it is slowly going. Do stick with it, GOOD LUCK.

Hi Hun. I was doing well when I was calorie counting then lockdown and I went silly. I have to get back on track. The way it started to work for me was to not panic if I had a bad day (or even two!) but to look at the bigger picture. That way I prevented myself from feeling I was failing and giving up on it all. It IS hard no matter what anyone says. I would love to go out and binge on McDonalds or KFC, but I know I would go on a guilt trip later. I DO enjoy some chips from time to time, but I watch the portions. I am not going to lecture you, but if you only had the quarter pounder that day you would have saved around 1000 calories and still had your craved for treat. Most of us appreciate how hard it is and we all struggle - otherwise we wouldn't be on this site looking for support. I didn't ever check what my intake was before I started to get control but it was probably around the level you have listed (just with different foods). Most of what you have there is fine. My failing was attacking a bag of sweets in the evenings - or worse from my desk drawer at work - now I make sure I dont have so much temptation on hand and it helps. Tamtwo comments about drinking plenty of water - good advice as it fills you up and stops some cravings - an alternative is hot water with a squeeze of lemon juice (have shop bought lemon juice close by to save issues with fresh lemons). I have that with a pint of sparkling water with my evening meal and I don't need a glass of wine (or three) or a couple of beers as it fills that craving gap and is better than plain water. None of us is perfect - the world would be boring if we were - don't give up hope as you will find the right way for you, as everyone one of us needs to find what works for us. Stay positive and enjoy your birthday without guilt.
