Well, Mother in law came for visit today. Got the meal of ham, squash, mashed potatoes, corn and wheat rolls done and ready when they arrived. I was having problems accessing the recipe online for what I planned on making for desert. She brought in a pan of bars instead from her car...so it was all good.
Got the house cleaned up to be passable for her visit.
Overall a good but busy weekend.

Nice that you had it all covered! My MIL does not speak to me anymore. Haven't seen her in a couple years now. Doesn't matter anyway.... Your meal sounds very yummy! Curious as to what the desert was going to be?????

I was going to use sugar cookie dough that then is sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Top that with apple pie filling and the remainder of the cookie dough sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Kind of like an apple pie, but with snicker doodle flavored cookie crust was what the desert was supposed to be. Always makes me spastic when she comes. I usually get less than 2 days notice that she is coming. Never know if it is for a meal...but always seems to be during meal time when she shows up. This time I found out Saturday evening at 7 pm that she was coming Sunday at lunch time. Now I am usually at church until 11:30 am-noon before we head home. They wanted to leave by 2 pm. So I had to skip Sunday School and come home to put the meal in.

Isn't it funny, no matter how old we get we always think we gotta do better for the inlaws.....lol

No kidding...I don't think I will ever be good enough for her son in her eyes. His father on the other hand really likes me and has said so repeatedly. Love that man!
