Hi all. Still trying to find my way around the app more on here than I was expecting. looking for a little advice, did really well last week, had a sneaky weigh in this morning not lost what I thought even though I am starting to see change in the mirror. Think I know the answer but looking for clarification. Averaging about 1500 calories a day, only lost 2lb this week till now will weigh proper on Mondays. can see changes in gut area but not on scales? doing a LOT😵💪 of working out at home static bike, abs workouts, HIIT Workouts. Am I not losing weight because muscle is heavier than fat? sorry if you think it's a stupid question curiosity got the better of me. Thanks in advance👊

I don’t trust scales. You’re probably losing fat and gaining muscles, muscles are obviously heavier than fat that’s why number on scale can go up.

I have a similar issue, eating 1000cals less a day should result in 2lb of fat loss per week. This may not show on the scales, I'm trying now to only weigh in every 2-3 weeks to see if that gives me any more noticeable changes. if you can see results then your obviously doing something right so keep going.

Fat has a greater mass than muscle. A pound of fat is much larger and unstructured than a pound of muscle. Therefore, if you have lost a pound of fat and have replaced it with a pound of muscle you will weight the same but appear smaller and tighter.

I don't see any resistance/strength training in workouts. It's the most effective calorie burner as well as helping with bone density.

Thanks for the responses. Makes a little more sense now. Definitely sticking with it, feeling I have more energy, am much more active and feeling good.👍

Are you drinking plenty of water? The more you drink the easier it is to flush out the fat. I drink between 3-4 litres a day on my diet, but for you 2litres would be plenty.

Thanks EllieBou. yes plenty of water 2-3 ltr a day at mo no other fluid exept soya milk with my 2 shakes a day (300ml each)

Training hard builds muscle, drink more I drink green tea. apple juice with apple cider vinegar in it. tomato juice with cayenne pepper and every morning a dull glass of lukewarm water with a whole lemon squeezed into it. this works for me.

Feels like the amount of water coming out is equal to what is going in at the mo......if you know what I mean😉
