Edging downwards... another 0.6. This week I stayed pretty much the same weight with little fluctuations up and down. This is the lowest weight I have clocked this week so that is nice! It continues to amaze me that I am losing while eating more than 1200 calories. I averaged 1256 calories a day this past week which in the past would have resulted in a gain. Certainly testimony that a calorie isn't just a calorie. I continue to eat whole mostly plant based foods and no refined sugars or flours. My big cheat these days is (7) rice crackers and salsa! That has some refined flour in it.
As a former teacher, September is my new year. I spent a few hours yesterday going through all the goals I set for myself last year and writing up a mini report. I am pleased to report that I have met most of them! I track my goals weekly, report to myself in writing monthly and then do a recap annually. This way I keep them top of mind. I have goals in 8 different categories - physical, emotion/spiritual, giving back to my community, intellectual, environment, financial, social and creative outlets. I find this structure helpful to ensure that I am living a balanced life and am forwarding my growth in each area.
Today I am meeting with a lady who is going to turn my husband's shirt collection into 7 blankets for each of our family members. Picking out background cloth is happening for the first 3 blankets today!
