OK...the doctor gave me the go ahead to start exercising more. I may have done a bad thing.
Last night just as I was getting ready to walk out the door from work a delivery truck showed up. I knew the guy was delivering tile for one of our customers. We don't have a forklift in the shop. So everything has to be offloaded by hand. I knew it was at least one pallet of tile. I felt bad for him that he would have to unload by himself. I went out there and ended up helping him. He said it should replace working out at the gym. I lifted and moved about a pallet and 1/2 of tile. These were not light tile boxes. The full pallet was all 12" x 24" tile. So it was double the weight of a normal box of 12 x 12 tile. I moved the tile from the tailgate into the shop and stacked it on another pallet.
My arms are so sore this morning that I can barely stand it. I don't think doing that much all at once was the way to go.
Now I am going to find my Aleve in my purse and see if I can make it through the day.

Probably too much too soon, but as long as you didn't hurt yourself then your arms will only be stronger for it! Maybe focus on lower body for the next few days, and avoid that delivery truck for a while :-)

I think they hurt because I haven't done anything at all like that for quite a while. My muscles were screaming at me even last night by the time I got home. I told my hubby I was going to be sore today! He started giggling. I think he thinks it is funny. My boss congratulated me on my efforts not knowing how much my body hurt this morning. I think today I take the day off completely from anything physical. The Aleve is starting to kick in, so now it is a dull ache. I won't be going anywhere near a delivery truck for a while!

I just talked with the truck driver...gave him a chuckle that I can barely lift a piece of paper today! He offered to let me come and help him unload some liquor today when he pulls back into town later. I told him I would pass...he would be short some inventory if I did.

Sign me up for the liquor delivery. I will be more than happy to have my arms hurting and my head hurting tomorrow :) LOL Ive not had a drink is so long I would probably pass out after the firt shot but I sure would enjoy trying it !!

I had a beer about a month ago. I was buzzed after one because it had been so long since I had one! I thought with my weight it should take more than that! It was funny...because of the drink I thought I would weigh more the next day...instead I lost a pound. Told my boss who gave me the beer that maybe I should drink more! I work in a room in his house right next to his fully stocked bar. He told me when I interviewed...who else gets to work next to a bar?

After the Aleve a glass of red wine and a couple of hours in a hot bubble bath maybe with a good book or a few candles.

That sounds wonderful...wine with a bubble bath...but the hot water faucet is stripped in my bath with the tub. Guess I will have to dream about it instead.
