Woke up this morning & decided to do my second IF fast day today even though I thought I'd do it Thurs. I have a busier day today & am not feeling hungry for breakfast, so today it is. I have a workout (I share an hour with a personal trainer with a friend once/week. It's not a tough workout, some weights & some Pilates, but a good way to stay in touch with this friend who used to be my tennis partner years ago, but she doesn't play much anymore & I wouldn't see her much otherwise.), then tennis, and a massage & phone appointment with my health coach this afternoon. So, not much time to think about not eating much today.
As I've already said, I'm liking this IF 5:2 WOE for now. The fasting days of 500 calories free me from thinking about what/how much to eat, and allow me some extra calories on the other days so I can just focus on staying gluten, lactose & sugar aware as I eat mindfully. So, for now, I'll keep building my healthy eating & living road in that direction.
But before I pave another inch, I'll pray --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
I'm grateful today as always for each of you, my family & IRL friends, to be following a WOE that feels right for me for now, and to have the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox
