I'd probably pick something poisonous on accident. I assume this is yours? 

Hahah! Crazy girl! They are "mine" now. In this area blackberries are everywhere. They grow over back fences, along every powerline, unmown ditches, empty lots... Everywhere....just like weeds. We snack as we walk. Seriously! This was the first time this year I got a bucket. I noticed a particularly healthy looking bank of vines along a quiet road last time I walked, I filled a couple little buckets in a few minutes! 😁 They are Erquiaga! Notice I used the ice cream as a topping rather than the other way around.!  

Yep, Chris! Your eyes do not decieve you! This blasted rain is going to ruin some of the first round of ripe ones. 😡 But, there are lots to come! 😁

Thank you, Ireland and Diana! I didn't used to be a big fan of blackberries. They seemed so common and ordinary, but now I wish I could have them all the time. I am planning to pick and freeze as many as I can this season! 😁

My grandma used to make the best cobbler after we’d pick wild blackberries near lake Michigan. Cover arms & hands when picking!! Very thorny!!

Thanks, everybody!!! I do feel really blessed to have such bounty just hanging around all over our neighborhood! My oldest lad asked for blackberry turnovers and wants to help me make them today! Yippy! I am certain I will not post a picture. They will NOT be pretty, since am NOT a pastry chef! But, they will be yummy!  

Blackberries grow wild all over the place in my neighborhood too. I had a huge area of them but then the new yard care service cut them all out. I keep telling them to let them grow, but there are always new guys. So I gave up. The deer eat them all before I ever get a chance at them anyway. They are always ripe by the 4th of July and then dry out as it gets hotter and hotter.
