This week I am babysitting this girl for a friend who is on vacation. It kind of is "babysitting," since this pretty mare will be having a baby come spring. :) This rose bush is growing crazy tall! That cluster of blooms is about a foot above my head now!

Aww! What a beautiful looking mare! I miss being around horses. I lived on a ranch with my ex and we had horses, a goat, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, a rooster and a pig named Emma. My son was introduced to a horse his first day home from the hospital. We had a riding ring where we taught him to ride at 4.

Thanks to all of you guys!!! Roxy Marie, I don't know if you looked at any comments, but her "stable name" is Roxy!!! I am so, so sorry you are missing horses. It is such a terrible sorrow to love them and not be able to have them in your life. I've been there so much. Your little guy was a blessed fellow to get to learn to ride so young and be surrounded by so many critters! In the comments, I posted a couple links to videos of this girl at shows. She was really something! Her baby should be a stunner!!!

I can’t wait to get him! As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will. Lol! We built a 72’ round pen in our front yard, so we work with the horses every day, and we have over 70 miles of trails in our community, so we love to trail ride. It’s so peaceful. We have Winston, who is a 17.2 hand beautiful black thoroughbred. Cupcake is a cute brown cutting horse. We have cows in the community and she loves to work with them. Ruby is a georgeous red quarter horse. She has a wavy mane and tail. She is a descendent of Peppy Sandbadger, so she has a great blood line. Dixie is a beautiful buckskin with a black mane and tail, with zebra stripes on all her legs. She used to do barrel racing, but we don’t do that with her. Then we have Sox. He is a stunning quarter horse who is a reddish brown in color with a black mane and tail. He’s a funny one. When you feed him, he alternates lifting each of his front legs. Sorry, I’m ranting. I just love them all!
