My dear MIL gave us quite a scare on Friday. Had a "spell" becoming unresponsive followed by loss of respiration and pulse. We thought we had lost her! Laid her on the floor to begin CPR and she suddenly gasped for breath and I could find a thready pulse. Ambulance to the ER, all tests normal and after a couple of hours of steady improvement she was bossing the nurses around and fussing to go home, so they turned us loose. Today I take her to primary physician for a follow up and she repeats the same episode in the office while the doctor was in the room. Another ambulance ride to the ER, followed by normal test results and a few hours of improvement and once again we are home. She is quickly using up her 9 lives!! She is 95 and about as tough as they come. I covet your prayers on her behalf. After all that my weight is holding steady, tho the thought of some comfort food is pretty tempting!
