Thank you GibJig! The combination of a broken toe and being about 40 pounds heavier back then made the hike up that hill pretty hard. I'm excited to take less with me next time! ♥️ 😊 Hoping for travel next summer, is a powerful motivator to maintain the my weight and keep working at being fit!

Yikes! Did you break your toe while traveling or before?  

jaygallardo24 and liv, thank you! GibJig, I broke it before in a couple places two months before, and they thought I might need surgery to wire it together. I was back and forth to a food Dr quite a bit! 😁 The day before our flight I was at the orthopedic again. The xray showed it wasn't mended but at least the bones were staying in place. Lots of tape and stiff shoes on our three week trip. Many days were on my feet all day long. But, it was worth it! A year later it finally stopped hurting and now only a twinge very occasionally!! 😁

How beautiful!! 💖 I’ve never been, but my hubby has and he’s always raving about how amazing Switzerland is! You look so pretty and happy. I hope you and your fam can travel again soon. I am sorry about your toe. You must be smiling through the pain in this photo. I would have probably been pretty grumpy in your place. 😬 

Tom, it doesn't bother me or slowing me down at all anymore. Actually, the really amazing thing is that all my aches and pains have gone away as I got lighter and stronger. I used to have a hip that would hurt so badly after a long walk I would have bruises from rubbing it so hard... As if that might make it feel better. Sometiems my knees feel a bit weird after a fast run for a few minutes, but even they don't give me trouble. I'm careful to only run a couple times a week. Better health has brought so many blessings!  

Thank you, Shir and davehoward! NewnameMM, it is an amazing country! In some places it almost really feels like a story book with all the perfectly beautifully tended properties. The ringing of cowbells, beautiful mountains, almost unreal green (shocking after being in Germany and France where it very dry and brown were we were late summer). We were not there long, and I would love to go back. We have a place to stay with friends near Bern, so I suspect we will someday! 😁  

According to the hubby, we have a friend in Bern too! It sounds like such a beautiful place and I heard the food was excellent too. Hope you get to go back soon. 💖

NewnameMM, that is so cool! I hope you also can go there! Bern is incredibly beautiful with a wonderful river through the middle of town. We spent half a day there exploring and had a picnic overlooking the river. My oldest daughter stayed for a week last summer with the family that lives nearby. They have four kiddos and are hoping to come visit us here in Seattle sometime in the next years!
