Getting my exercise in the Flathead National Forest at Glacier Rim this week has been so spiritually uplifting. I just love being here, and my walks have been getting slightly longer each day since I've been here. This is bear country though, so I have to carry bear spray with me, which is a little unnerving, but so far, so good. Photo Description: 1 & 2) The North Fork Flathead River runs through the Glacier Rim area of the Flathead National Forest. 3) Ox-eye Daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare) grow wild here. 4 & 5) More photos of the North Fork Flathead River. 6) Wyoming Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja linariifolia) 7) A fuzzy-horned bumblebee (Bombus mixtus) nectaring on spotted knapweed (Centaurea stoebe).

Absolutely gorgeous, Lonnie!! I pulled the hubs away from his tv show to look at these together. We both wish we were there too. That bumblebee butt is so cute and fuzzy. Please stay safe and alert. I love bears, but am terrified of them. I’m THAT hiker/camper that freaks out over every little noise thinking there’s a bear near. But I’m told we’re not in their food chain. And they’re super cute. But pls don’t feel like you need to take a bear picture for us. 💖😊

If I get a bear picture, newname, it's a safe bet it'll be taken from inside, through the window. I don't mess with bears. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures with your hubby. 🙂
