Happy Friday!!!

Loving those scales today!! Hitting at 260 today!! Yay!! 60 pounds to go to my first goal! I set my sights on the goal of 200 pounds for my first goal, I would still be overweight, but it would be something familiar. I weighed that for years. I would fluctuate back and forth between 190 and 200. I guess you would say that was a set point. The last time I lost a bit of weight, I was around 225 and went down to 174. I really felt good then!!

Then the weight snuck back on. A few pounds here, a few pounds there, and then I was back to 215!! I think I gave up then. It was just easier to give in and not care. I know better now. I wish I would have gotten my head screwed on better and fought to get this weight off sooner. I guess its like an alcoholic hitting bottom. I had to be smacked in the head with the reality of my weight gain, like I had to have the reality of my years of smoking hit me square in the face before I finally quit!! It took me a good solid six months AFTER being diagnosed with emphysema before I finally quit!! I knew what it was, and I knew there was no cure or quick fix for that. It took not being able to take a deep breath, or not being able to have a good satisfying yawn that made me quit!!! I think that made me a little wiser, and a little more thoughtful of how I got to this point!!

It took me seeing that 302 on the doctors scale, and a plastic surgeon telling me he would not do a procedure on me because of my weight. It also took the realization that my hubby was getting less and less affectionate, and did't want to say anything to me about my weight getting out of control, because he didn't want to hurt me!! I FINALLY got him to say it!!! I told him it was ok, that I am glad we finally got that out there!! He is so helpful and supportive of me getting this weight off!! He said " I just want you to know, that no matter what, I will always love you, 302 pounds or 165 pounds, as long as you are happy!! I would prefer the 165 to 200 pound you, because you would feel better and move around better!!" Lord, I love that man, and am so glad he and I met!!!

I decided to try a challenge by one of my FS buddies and am failing miserably with it!! I'm really trying Deb!! I have been trying to force myself to drink more water, and just can't seem to get that going!!! I just have to knuckle down and do it!!! I have to go to Physical Therapy today, and will get to hit up the pool too!! I am so looking forward to that!!! The arthritis in this hip is giving me fits, but I know I have to keep it moving, and the more weight I lose, the less it will hurt!!

I am trying to think of another place here to go for my Friday treat supper. I guess I'll figure something out!! I guess I'm getting a little burnt out on Firehouse Subs!! lol!! I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday, and spectacular weekend!! Its suppose to rain here, but hey, everyday is a good day!!
