This week has been bollocks! I'm on vacation. Had to cancel our original travel plans to NC to see my Dad and Nashville. Then had to cancel the trip to my Mom's in a neighboring state because of rising COVID cases. I've had to repair my rear brakes and replace a caliper, been battling with the department of labor, and lost a crown from one of my teeth. (THAT was a hilarious highlight!) Yesterday we went out for a bike ride and I ended up having to take a break at mile 8 because I was showing signs of heat sickness. If Mercury retrograde is a thing, I'm thinking I should stay in bed for the next 2 days. Worst. Vacation. Ever.

Did I also mention I had my period? LOL!! Well, the good news is that I got the unemployment confusion straightened out with the help of my local senator. All of my blood-work came back normal so the weight gain is definitely not thyroid but the work of my whacked-out peri-menopausal hormones. All I can do is stay the course and hope I can undo it once I even out. Another moment of hopeful: my breast tenderness has finally subsided (painful since mid-April), so fingers-crossed I will have another reeeaaalllyyy long cycle where I can take of some pounds again. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Wendy! Sounds appalling... Thinking of you. But I'm back here and it looks like we're having a very similar weight journey again! X

@ferlengheti!! I have missed you, Love!! Things got way worse. We ended up losing a dear friend to a motorcycle crash the following week. I couldn't bring myself to journal about any more bad stuff, so I just stopped. It's a new month, though; I expect things to improve! :D
