Landed this steelhead on 10-FEB-2020. My heaviest steelhead landed ever on the day I reached my lowest weight in 25 years. Go figure.

Wow, I love all the photos! That fishy is a big boy! It must require a lot of muscle power to catch a monster like that. 🙌🏻 And that photo of you makes you look so young and trim. Great job on the weight loss, SK! 

My husband fishes for steelheads in February also. In salmon river upstate NY. Great catch and fantastic meal. Congrats

SK, I’ve had little patience for math since I was a small guppy. I’ve always preferred to use the other side of my brain more. 

@melissa : Halibut is store bought at Costco or Thriftway. I buy whole fish and breakdown. Uses bones/fish scrap to make fish stock. Fish are usually 10-15lb each. I would be violating the Fisherman's Code 🎣 if I told you where exactly in the PacNW I caught the steelhead.
