I get to take my walks in a new place this week! I'm staying at a great campground beside the Snake River near Rexburg in Madison County, Idaho. Here's a description of the photos I took today.

1) This is the entrance to the park/campground. Luckily, there's another way to enter, because I was worried about there not being enough clearance to fit my rig under that sign.

2) This is our campsite. We brought some wood with us, so we'll soon make use of that fire ring.

3) The Snake River branches into many small, slow flowing channels here, like this one.

4) This is another of the slow flowing channels of the Snake River that run past the campground.

5) Cherokee Native Americans used creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense) as fletching (flight feathers) for their arrows. The roots of creeping thistle are edible, but they have a tendency to cause flatulence.

6) This is the main channel of the Snake River running past the campground. It has a very fast moving current.

7) That's me. I'm a swinger! 😉
