Thanks, guys! I'm trying to keep cheery because I dropped a hammer on my foot today. I was pounding in stakes to help support some roses. While wrapping string, the darn tool fell out of my front pouch. I'm icing my foot now, but I'm afraid I may be off running for a bit. 😢 

Oh my gosh, Melissa!! Ow, your poor thing, ow ow!!! I hope you’re not in too much pain and hope you feel better asap. Don’t worry about running, just take care of your foot, love. 💖

Thank you whodis. I'm not in too much pain if I don't walk... Unfortunately, that's what I want to do... Shir, I really hope it will be fine with a little rest. It isn't very swollen... Just a bit puffy at impact and bruised. It is a bit stressful to think how quickly goals can get sidelined... I was really going to push for my best times running this week. Now I'll be happy if I can go on a long walk. It really might be fine in a day or two. Im hoping!

Such pretty flowers! My irises are all gone. But I have a patch of California poppies that grew in the back of my house. The deer leave them alone. I've tried ever since I moved into my house to get poppies to grow. I bought seeds at the nursery and have had no luck. Once in awhile I get a few. Somehow these just started growing and I love looking at them every day.

Thank you, kattay!!! The swelling has already diminished. I think it doesn't want a shoe on it, but I'm hopeful it will be good soon. Fritzy, how appropriate that you should have CA poppies! Mine are still in full bloom! I love their bright, beautiful color and I'm glad you have some to enjoy too! Oh, HCB, you are so sweet. I do love to have the flowers, and it really warms my heart to share and have friends actually enjoy them! I'm making up bouquets for folks every couple days all summer, and that gives me the such joy!
