Having lost almost 3st since the new year, as well as doing my more physical exercise such as brisk walking, jogging, gardening and diy; I really want to tone up on my abs, especially around my belly, which is where a lot of my weight-loss has been.

As a consequence I am a little flabby down there, and was considering resorting to some tone-up exercises on the NHS website covering stomach crunches, squats, plank, and other old-school exercises.

But have also been on Amazon and had a look at some of those resistance bands, that seem a bit more interesting/challenging.

I am not looking for a 6-pack stomach, just something that will get rid of the excess flab from my weight loss.

Any recommendations?

Planks & side planks do it for me every time - dont need any equipment just a stopwatch ⏱ and your own body weight - added bonus you will certainly appreciate not carrying the extra weight 👍

I’ve lost 17.5 st in the last 2years 3mths. I know your anxiety. I’ve faired very well in the slack skin department with only some on my arms and yes a fair bit on my abdomen. If it’s slack skin you have I’m afraid there is no exercises that will snap it back due to the skin loosing its elasticity. I went to see my Dr and told her that it was really affecting my quality off life and she recommended me for skin surgery. I saw the plastic surgeon who in turn agreed to the op on the NHS. One proviso is that you have to maintain a healthy bmi for a year. No problem but god only knows when I’ll get it now due to the current situation. To go private would cost 8k plus aftercare costs. Exercise vacuum which must help to burn your visceral fats and works out on your oblique abdominal muscles which. Make some research on google and read about both of them.
