Another sleepless night :(, so off to an early workout and will be sure to get in a nap amongst many errands on my to-do today. And, tonight, DH and I have a tennis social but luckily only from 6:30-8:30 as I'm sure I'l be ready for bed after that! I'll be on high alert today as I tend to overeat when I'm tired, and will keep reminding myself how helpful journaling has been as well as praying, breathing & meditating.

But before I go, I'll start my day in prayer --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And through this one tired day and each potentially easily triggered meal or bite or moment or emotion, I'll continue to pray, breathe, journal & express me way through knowing there's a better night's rest ahead. And, I'll remember all I have to be grateful for, especially all of you here! xoxox

No sleep makes for a very difficult day. Hope you can stay mindful through your busy day.

I hear you on the no sleep and you just gave me an ah ha moment (ala Oprah). I too have had lousy sleep this week and that is likely why I went on the binge! I was tired but didn't realize it and should have gone to bed instead of stuffing my face! Thanks for the insight! Duh, I can be so dense sometimes. I know this stuff, I just forget. Enjoy the evening, and hope you sleep decent tonight. I don't know why some nights I sleep so light or keep waking up, I hate it. But thank goodness for coffee :) (and thanks for the PM chats - love you too xxx)

I have learned something about myself through this diet experience and that is I tend to overeat (binge) when I am very emotional about something. If I am truly worried about something my appetite disappears for a short time. When I went through my divorce several years ago I lost 20 + pounds.

Hate those sleepless nights. I don't know if it's my age or if it's because I have been so busy the past few weeks. Try to catch up on your sleep this weekend and enjoy the sunshine.
