Have you considered talking to HMRC and seeing if they know anything about what you might be entitled to?

Frankie thank you for your advice and help and efforts. I looked on the internet myself and they say there will be help for small businesses, but there doesn't seem to be much information about how to apply for it. I guess I am not surprised as most things by the government it is all bluster and no action. I will probably be on the phone all today trying to find out and getting no answers, more expense. You would have thought they would put an application form on the internet, but that is too easy!

Patience it’s all on it’s way. You must understand that these are unprecedented times and so many areas need so much attention. They have talked about it on press releases and I am sure they said you should be able to walk into a bank and talk about it, maybe by Monday but don’t take that as gospel as was running after the kids while I was listening to it.

Tom i hear what you are saying and appreciate your input, but unfortunately small business is all about cashflow and any break in cashflow no matter how short has an affect from day one as well the damage is done to the trading of others that you dealing with, it will be so hard to build up lost relationships again. I could look on the positive side all this running around trying to sort things out will help me lose weight!

Tom I know I am luckier than most people in that I was able to buy a business in the first place, I might now have to go out and work for a living instead of sitting around all day on my fat butt, another good way to lose weight. In seriousness I am sorry for your brother, I hope he gets the help he needs , he will need it more than me. Tom this will change how we look at the world it hit everyone no matter who. I have found another positive in all this madness the sense of community has come to the fore I find myself that I am talking to my fellow business owners around to share our thoughts and suggestions to help out, there are so many nice people out there.
