Last week, I'm thankful to say I walked every day except one and did a total of 3 miles. Today, I decided that I would break my (so far 3/4-mile) goal and went 0.8 miles around our property. I also am happy to report that I kept my calories UNDER my RDI of 2,000 every day last week and had a calorie deficit of over 1,200 a day average. Lost a total of 5.5 pounds. I'm SO thankful for being ABLE to do these things, and I KNOW that God had a lot to do with it! I also believe that my reading and applying the principles of what I am learning is a major contributor. Yesterday, I read the WHOLE book "The Power" by Rhonda Byrne, and now I am reading "The Magic" by the same (author of "THE SECRET" which is a must-read, in my opinion, for every person alive - behind the Bible, of course!). The Power was all about the Power of LOVE, and The Magic is about the Power of GRATITUDE! Today, I made took a glass jar and put in about 20 little scraps of paper saying things I am grateful. To follow the 28-day program, I will be adding at least TEN more things each day. I'm using pastel paper, so it should make a nice centerpiece for my table. If you want to invest in yourself, consider reading any of these books and ACTING on the principles they espouse. I get both the Kindle and the audiobook and listen as I read. (The Magic doesn't have an audiobook yet, though, so I'm reading it ALOUD to myself, LOL) May God bless EACH of you with the Power of LOVE and GRATITUDE to become your very BEST self this year!

Wonderful results last week. Gratitude is powerful. I love the idea of the colored pastel paper.

I appreciate the encouragement! @lisaj0626, there are people on MANY different diet plans or (as we prefer to say) WOE's (Ways of Eating) on this website. Personally, I am doing Keto, which is a Low-Carb, High-Fat WOE. It works great for me. We have people here who do CICO (Calories In / Calories Out), Weight Watchers, Atkins, Intermittent Fasting, OMAD (One Meal a Day), and a host of other things. Most ANY diet plan will work if you will WORK the plan, but different things work better for different people. May God guide you in choosing the plan that will give you the very BEST results!
