Do any of you know of a site or on here even that you can put all the ingredients of a dish of food such as jello salad: tub of whipped topping, can of sugar free cherry pie filling, can of pineapple tidibts, sugar free cherry jello and plain gelatin and have it tell you how many servings there are and what the details about that salad are such as: carbs, calories, etc. etc.?

I use FS thru their web page. I use the cookbook feature for soup often. Just put in the ingredients one at a time and you have to decide how many servings you want out of the recipe. When the soup is gone I just delete the recipe. When I want to add a serving to my diary I just click on the cookbook and pick brkfst. lunch etc. and it fills in the macro's. No idea how you would do it on the app.

Recipes.SparkPeople.com It uses a database of foods, you can add foods (if you create an account). I enter my recipes there, including the number of servings, and then create a custom food entry in FS with the nutrition data.

I use myfitnesspal for my home recipes, although you have to put in how many servings you think it is and then it gives you nutritional info. Good to measure foods by 1 cup and desserts by half a cup.

I would suggest the same. Calculate the total amount of the dish......and depending on how many calories you want it to be on your plate determine whether a serving is half cup, a cup or less or more.

I also use the My Cookbook feature as as gthe My Custom Foods, both here on FS. So far, I've been able to track everything I've wanted to. Granted, when I made my SIXTY-EIGHT cups of soup, I had to measure it all out to see how many cups the recipe made and then decide how much I wanted to be in one serving. I chose 1 cup as serving size, although I usually EAT two cups at a time, and record it as such.

I do what the others have suggested, but I weigh the final product (subtracting empty container weight). That way my serving sizes are customizable. I also use the FS cookbook as my instructions for the next time so I don’t have to re-figure.

I just decide what my serving size will be and add the ingredients. The MY Cookbook program figures out how many servings there are by the amount of ingredients I add.

Thank you so much. I will check all these sites out and choose which one I like best. I like to make my own recipes because I like odd things such as : saurkraut, pineapple, sugar, sausage and cheese. I haven't met anyone who thought that sounded good yet. LOL
