Looking at what I ate today, my biggest fat offenders were the hotdog and heavy whipping cream. Carbs came up big in the hotdog bun, quinoa chips, and hot chocolate. No surprises there.

I bought some great fresh fruits and vegetables that are low on the glycemic index and some beautiful tuna steaks. No sweets, no fatty meats. Let's see what happens now.

dont fear food my friend, there os nothing with carbs. what is wrong is man made processed garbage and a gluttonous appetite. good luck on your journey

Since you are aware of the glycemic index and are using it to help you make food choices, you might find it interesting to read up on the difference between the GI of a food and the glycemic LOAD of a food. Two different things. As it turns out, just because a food has a low GI does not necessarily mean that it is the better food choice. This may have a specific impact for people who are diabetics and for people trying to lose weight.

Thanks Kenna. I read an article about the difference between GI and GL. There was a short chart that listed different foods with their GI as well as their GL. It demonstrated how a food can have a high GI but a low GL. I'm trying to figure out how that relates to the carbs measured in my food diary. Also, do you know of a more comprehensive list of foods with their GL's? Thanks!
