As the holiday's approach, I realized it's been over a year since I have been back to FS. This last year has been filled with treatments and appts. for cancer. All of my energy has been spent on that fight. My last reports three months ago show me cancer free. Praise God!

Along the cancer journey, I started really taking care of myself and following my food and water intake as part of it. I am down 31 pounds since I first came here...and counting as I rapidly approach the first time in 15 years that my weight will be under 200 pounds.

It is amazing how one can seemingly slide into a routine of unhealthy habits and not even realize it. My worst was not eating until late in the evening.

In the last year and a half, I have cut the majority of carbs (other than fruit) from my diet. I am now off three of the four diabetic meds I was taking and down to 1/3 of the final one. I am off blood pressure meds completely (2 of them) and rarely have the need to take muscle relaxers for back pain or Advil.
