Drinking lots of water. It's hard to do. I used to drink diet sodas all the time and thought I was doing good choosing a drinks with no sugar. I was at my yearly physical last year complaining about my weight. My doctor told me that artificial sweeteners make you crave more sugar. He said if I quit drinking and eating things with artificial sweeteners I could probably could loose 10 lbs just from that. I lost 12 lbs over the course of the year. Recently, I fell off the wagon and gained it back. Trying to reduce carbs without using artificial sweeteners is really hard! Especially for me, a bona fide sugar addict.

I use tart cherry juice concentrate sometimes, or lemon juice, as an easy way to dress-up water. But well-filtered water or simple distilled water tastes pretty good to me usually (not straight tap water), cold. I drink a lot of black coffee and unsweetened tea, also. Took me a year to get used to unsweetened tea after drinking sweetened over 60 years of my life.

Great idea. I'm trying to wean myself off sugar in my coffee. Not easy.
