Another fly by. Not having time to record food and forgot to weigh myself this morning, but I can at least journal.

Still no home for the puppy but I have found 3 rescue groups just for labs only so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My other major cause of stress is my stepdaughter (and 3 kids) want to move back here. And this will involve at least some time staying in our home. To keep this simple, my relationship with her is best as a long distance one!

So anyway, if you don't hear from me this weekend don't worry. Me and the leftover liquor from Christmas will be doing just fine.

Buffy sounds like a high stress zone- hope it works out ok and you don't have to hide in the closet with the Christmas liquor ;) Hang in there it can only get better.

Newmooney - I appreciate that. I have got to establish some guidelines with DH without getting emotional. Last night I was in the closet with chocolate!

Oh No...Isn't there any thing you can do to prevent this...Good luck with the puppy..Sure hope you don't have to drink you way out of what ever happens...3 kids..I guess it all depends on the ages if you can deal with them or not..preteen and teenagers are not my favorite as they know it all and we are stupid in their eyes...Hang in there..Will be praying for you and your situation...Hugs...:O)

Oh Buffy.....just what you don't need right now, but then again, you ARE strong enough to handle it all - WITHOUT the chocolate in the closet....or the liquor! Just find your Happy Place (LOL!) and go to it OFTEN!!! Remember....this too, shall pass.....and hopefully, quickly. Maybe they'll find their own place right away so they won't be staying with you for very long. One can always hope....

HEY - maybe you can "gift" the puppy to your step-daughter and kids? I am sure she will "appreciate" it, right?

Don't give in to the chocolate because of her..... She will then have got one over on you..... Your house.... Your rules. Start as you mean to go on, don't pussy foot round her, thinking, It won't be for long. If she pisses you off, tell her... Eg ... I would rather you didn't do that; or we don't do that in this house. If you let her get away with things when she first comes, she will take advantage and you will start on the chocolate. Good luck x

You are so strong, Buffy, I know you'll do the right thing, but have to agree that if you decide to take them in, it's best to set the house rules top right off. Good luck with the SD decision & the puppy. You've got your hands full right now, but this to shall pass... & one drink never hurt anyone... Some say it's a healthy diversion! Xoxox
