So why is it that making hard decisions makes us want to eat? I made the tough decision tonight to show someone one of my horses to see if they were interested in buying her (it is in the best interest of the horse as she doesn't get ridden enough in case anyone was wondering). I have been debating for so long and finally made the first step in letting her go. Now...I want to eat EVERYTHING bad for me that is in my house. I am resisiting and just staying in my room, mostly because I weigh in early tomorrow morning, but I feel like eating would make me feel so much better. Darn those cravings and the comfortable feeling that food brings us!

I totally know what you mean. Right now I would KILL for a full cooked English breakfast! Yum. I think that we are clearly real foodies and just LOVE our food and having to control it constantly means that we just want it more. In stressy situations I think food does release endorphins or something that is comforting...well it must do???? You just stay strong though cos if you give in like I did last week you will be in my situation at weigh in. I gained a pound!!!!!!! Believe me that is THE WORST! Anyway, stay strong...looks like you are doing well from the chart!

Food releases endorphins, endorphins make us feel good, etc. etc. Is there any other sort of activity that you could do to release endorphins (maybe with Mr. Barker????? ;)

haha...I would love to include a relaxing endorphine releasing activity with Mr. Barker, however he is out to sea right now until November...no luck there. Thanks to both of you for the encouragement. I actually did really well on the scale this week...better than I thought I would...will talk about it in my journal post here in a few. I usually go to the gym to run off frustration, but it was just too late last night. As far as gaining a pound cookielover...it happens to the best of us. I got back on the plan because one bad week led into months, so to counter-advise...don't get discouraged because of one bad week, stay on that wagon and hang in there! It will get better!
