Does anyone have any tips to beat cravings in the evening?? I always want chocolate or other things in the evening after dinner around 7-9pm, and as I am usually relaxing/watching TV at that time, it's hard to fight! I have tried eating dinner later but my family eat quite early so it's often difficult. Thanks for any help!

I get the same cravings too. I tend to have a cup of Cadbury options or a couple of Kallo dark chocolate rice cakes. That usually helps me.

Try to eat healthy snacks, like nuts, seeds, raisins, ect.

Something that was suggested to me was solero ice lollies, they are around 98 calories and come in either tropical or forest fruits. They feel like you are treating yourself with something sweet but without too much sin involved.

Try reducing your carbs in the evening and fill up on fats and protein. This will leave you feeling satisfied longer. Carbs hold 3 times their weight in water, therefore, making you full....in the short term, but then you are hungry again. The body will break down carbs first, then what it doesnt need, it will store, so in the absence of carbs your body will break down protein and fat first.

Hi I usually have herbal teas or decaffeinated tea. I also tend to brush my teeth as a rule that to myself that I'm done eating! I know that time can be tricky it can be for me too. good luck:)

I have a box of Mikado in the house. If I want a little chocolate fix, I have one of those and it tends to see me through. I also have a batch of Chocolate Nut Butter Fudge in the fridge. High fat, low carb/sugar - so good!

Hard boil lolly. Lasts a long time but not of how much calories.

If no one has mentioned them yet, try looking for Skinny Whip chocolate bars. Soft chewy nougat type filling with a chocolate coating, Strawberry or toffee or double chocolate flavour and less than 100 calories. I find them in places like B &M or Homebargains

are you able to change the time you eat? it seems quite late if you go to bed not long after.

avoid nuts & rasins as one person said nut are really high in calories and rasins full of sugar

Chocolate Or highlights help me. Also try not to watch too much TV because the adverts are too often about food.

I drink more, water mainly, tends to make you feel less hungry and it distracts you from wanting to eat.

Add more healthy oils like olive oil, butter, coconut oil, cream to your dinner. then you won´t have the cravings in the first place. Otherwise mix quark (at Tesco or Waitrose) with lemon juice and erythrit instead of sugar. It´s sweet and healthy at the same time ;)

PS: maybe eat that in combination with some fiber tablets to fill you up without any net carbs / calories. I rarely need those, because I eat plenty of fat, but if so, I use Swanson tri-fiber complex with psyllium, oat bran, apple pectin..
