I spent the evening downtown with one of my daughters. She took this photo, and it was the first time in so very long that when I saw a picture of me I didn't think, "Wow... that is one fat mama." I have a long journey ahead of me to get to my goal weight, become stronger, and to maintain both. At nearly 40 pounds down from the first of the year, I feel so good. I am so thankful for this community!

I think you look a very good weight right now. I would practice maintenance and work on toning and building muscle if you haven’t done so already. You truly look great. You should be very proud of the outcome of your hard work.

Oh my goodness, guys, your support means so much to me. I've never posted a picture of myself anywhere and was super nervous. I am so grateful for your support. I haven't been this weight for I think sixteen years. I still feel chubby when I see some parts of me, but I can run up stairs I am not winded, I can sit on a rock and my bum hurts 'cus there isn't so much padding, and I can go for a ten mile walk at 4 miles and hour and not feel tired. Best of all I do feel happy and encouraged to keep going. Other parts of life may be out of my control and hard, but right now at this moment this is something going right! didn't know if I could even lose 2o pounds, and now I can almost fit in my 26 year old wedding dress... almost! Thank you all so much. I have tried to do this before and failed after a short time. I really feel like the difference has been this forum.
