First tomato of the year from our garden! I call a cheese and homegrown tomato sandwich “food of the gods”! Just added some salt and lots of fresh ground pepper. Delicious!🤤

Drooling. We really don't get food tomatoes here in Texas. Every so often I drive up to Arkansas for some. Tomato with onion and mayo... That's my fav.

It was sooooooooooooo good! Now we just have to wait b/c the rest are still green. This variety is called “Early Girl”, and it’s one of my faves! Thanks for all your kind comments, too! 😊🎈

Green tomatoes?! Fry them up! Or sauté them if you need to save calories 😬 I love sautéed green tomatoes in chicken and rice or in a curry 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Dawnie, I just may try that. We have green ones to spare! And thanks for the kind comments. This is only my 3rd summer gardening. Before, my husband and kids always did the planting and all, and I just ate it all up. My husband would tell you he’s “the son of the son of a farmer” b/c his family did farming and steel mills in eastern Ohio/western Pennsylvania instead of mining. His father was second generation Russian and his mother first generation Slovak/Jewish. And all of them worked the land at some point in their lives. So I’ve learned from the best! 🤗
