Well, I'm back. Time to get serious again. I'm too old to be this fat. I do LCHP style eating. Pasta is my favorite thing in the world and I cook AMAZING italian food, so that gets hard sometimes. Upside is I don't have a sweet tooth and I rarely snack. But I do LOVE my wine. Well, most alcohol. I guess I have to admit the "diet" needs to be from Alcohol more than anything. So I suppose if I start logging again, I will be more aware of how much I actually drink. That's the whole point of logging, right? keep an eye on yourself.
I just hope this works again- I am older this time and menopausal. Everything is different. But I gotta try, right?

Welcome back, Barbieq13! I looked at today's food diary. You're doing very well during meals ... and then, the alcohol "snack" calories are higher than any one meal and about 42% of the total calories for the day. I propose these questions for contemplation (and not for you to answer here): Consciously or unconsciously, am I "saving" calories at meals to "spend" on wine and spirits? Am I having difficulty reducing (let alone eliminating) daily alcohol consumption? Do I drink more alcohol than I intend to drink? Have other people told me that I should cut back on my drinking? Have I tried to stop drinking alcohol before, but failed? Do I drink alone? Do I hide my drinking? Depending on your honest answers, you may need more than online support to overcome this obstacle to your weight loss goals.

As I said, I am aware of the alcohol issue. I'm a work in progress.

Oh and no, I don't save up calories, I literally don't have that much appetite. I can't metabolize carbs and I've been physically unable to exercise for quite a while. I tear tendons. I have arthritis everywhere. Multiple orthopedic surgeries. So just walking almost a mile yesterday was HUGE for me.
