Last night I got a call from my sister saying we needed to get to the hospital right away. Those of you that have been reading my journal for a while may remember my Aunt with lung cancer. Well, she had surgery last week to remove the cancer, and the doctors found out it wasn't cancer at all, it was an infection. She seemed to come out of the surgery well, I even was able to talk to her on the phone. We were going to go and visit her on Sunday, but we didn't. She had a coughing spell and went into cardiac arrest, and she died yesterday, about 20 minutes before we made it to the hospital.

We live the closest, so we were the first ones there. I had to tell her best friend that she had lost someone closer than a sister. I had to tell her son's fiancee that she was gone. I don't know what to do. I just wish we had gone out there on Sunday like we planned, just to see her one last time.
