What is it? 

Lettuce, spinach carrots, tomatoe, cucumber with avacado on top. 

That looks like Welch's frozen avocado. Is it? (I thought they were awful-tasting.) 

U have a good eye, yes it is. First time eating it. I sprinkled a little salt on it. Doesn't taste bad in the salad. I haven't really tasted it warmed up as yet. Will try it that way tomorrow. If I dont like it that way. Might blend in smooties or just keep using them salads. 

I think that's what confused me. It looked like avocado... But then again... It didn't.  

I use frozen sometimes when I cannot find reasonably priced avocado. I add them to a smoothie 

I tried Welch's "NEW!" frozen avocado a month or two ago, around the time of the hullabaloo about a "Mexican export embargo" of avocado. Ialso thought the product might be an alternative to fresh avocado that is sometimes rotted when I slice it open. I eat avocado alone or mixed with Nuttzo (never warmed up), and these were *nasty*! Since I don't drink my calories, I don't make smoothies, but they might have been okay for that purpose. I complained to Welch's, but they wanted a package code that wasn't on the bag I bought. (Maybe they were pirated?!) 

Fresh are better for sure. I will try to freeze my own one day. I can get cheaper in big bags but I cannot always finish them before overripe even if I put them in the fridge.  

Never put avocados in the fridge. They don't like the cold and they go bad. 

I use it to cut down the ripening process so not all avocados ripen at the same time. It is fine
