I personally use a fitbit Charge 2 HR special edition and it suits my needs as it is perfect size and not to bulky on my wrist. However, my wife and teen use fitbit Charge 3 special editions (a bit bigger but waterproof) ....each of which have a Heart Rate monitor as well like Charge 2 HR, steps, calories burned, interval training (multiple sports and more), water drank or consumed, (feminine tracking if needed)...., sleep patterns, online personal training if desired for an additional fee, and much more. My wife has also used in the past fitbit Alta HR which also suited her needs as well (designed for more of a small wrist, more feminine approach to design elements). My in-laws use Garmin products ---but my knowledge is limited to non-existent on them. Other family members use Apple Watch or the new Fitbit Versa. Fitbit Versa, Charge3 are waterproof and if special edition is purchased can be used to 'wave' to make purchases (like google pay/android pay/Apple pay)........ Fitbit items can be easily interchangeable with wrist strap designs (classic, sporty, elegant, fashionable) ----meaning plastic/vinyl, leather, bracelet,strings, jewelled, and other design elements. Oops, meant to mention too, that I know Fitbit meshes well here with FATSecret. So it communicates and transmits into the app nicely for close tracking purposes. They also can send messaging and alerts from phone to wrist as well. At first I was skeptical when I first got one, but now that I'm used to it ----I have withdrawals if I don't have it on or forget to put it on after charging it right away. And they do charge rather quickly, an hour or 2 --usually provides full charge ----> Charge 2 HR (five to 6 days with use) / Charge 3 HR Special Edition (7 to 8 Days) .....Others not much better than these. Again though will depend on usage and battery can also be tracked on Fitbit, so you'll know when to charge it adequately. I hear, but not certain Garmin and Apple have less operable days before needing charged (but don't quote me on this), as there are many stories on a host of product reviews, and dependent upon models have less compatibility with FATsecret. Samsung Gear and others you may have to use Google Fit, Samsung's app, Myfitness pal, or other 3rd party apps to work. Just and FYI !!!!!

Glad I could shed some light on the topic.... Let me know which you decide on, I'm sure everyone has their own favorites.... Oh, one last thing ---fitbit allows you to link friends or family if they have a fitbit to compete in challenges (daily, weekly, etc.) and it keeps stats to let you know who won --pretty cool to keep you motivated as well. It also has a community of persons you can talk with or join as well to compete in your challenges if you don't know anyone which as one currently..... ;)  

MyZone is a flexible belt around the chest & tracks the heartbeat which measures the Key Item. Been using it nearly 3 years. 

i have a charge 2 . i mostly use it as an exercise tracker/daily active minutes/ heartrate/cals burned based on heart rate 

I use LetsFit I got it on Amazon for like $30 tracks steps, heart eater. Running and calories burned also a timer for working out. 

the fit bit tracker does everything, even trackers your period. tracker, steps, heart rate, water, food, etc. best thing out there in my opinion!! 

oh, and sleep pattern... forgot 

I use Apple’s Activity app.

I have a fitbit flex 2 because it is affordable and is waterproof so can swim with it. Many that are swimmable are over my budget. Sleep, steps, some exercise, and swim. Easy.  

Thank you all for your suggestions! I finally landed on a Fitbit Charge. Earlier today I won an auction for one on Ebay for only $32 brand new!
