I have 35.4 lbs to go but somehow it shows more in a part of FS. Seems I'm averaging about a lb per day. I have been trying to eat salads and eggs and soups and staying away from fast foods and anything but water or green tea to drink, but the past few days have been super stressful and today I am treating myself. Will try to do better tomorrow, but it's looking like since it's the weekend I will be focusing on getting into a better diet Monday. I haven't gained and am still below the calories set for me, but I feel that I should be losing more weight unless I really should reduce my daily calories goal further. Maybe I just need to eat one meal a day. That's how I took off weight 38 years ago after giving birth. But then again, I am obviously 38 years older so maybe that's why the weight isn't coming off as quickly as I want it to. I am realizing that the healthy foods I've been eating are occasional and that by not eating healthy all the time I gained weight. Still, it isn't easy trying to reverse the weight gain, but I am determined no matter how long it takes. I really don't have the time or desire to cook or plan meals an
ahead. Much of what I do cook has to be quick. It would be so nice to have healthy meals that fill me up already prepared, but being on a budget prevents that. Let's see how it goes.

I am not sure what kind of diet you are on, but Oatmeal is very cheap, filling and you can add fruit or apple cinnamon or banana and cocoa to mix it up. Make it the night before and for the week. I just made a batch of pea soup with ham to do for a 200 calorie bowl of soup that provides 13 fiber and 13 protein for less than a quarter a bowl and did enough for the week. Sweet potatoes and green peas also provide a fourth veggie, fiber and protein with choice of meat. I can even indulge in air popped popcorn and almonds (12) Just some ideas... I have to work to eat it all and never hungry.

Hi! I will try oatmeal with a mushed banana! Haven't had oatmeal in many years, believe it or not! Pea soup is a favorite, and I have a nice ham bone in the freezer to add. I'm not following any particular diet yet - just counting calories and staying away from sugar, salt, fast food, high-calorie items. Eating salads for a change. Breakfasts usually contain eggs in some form, even just 1 hard-boiled egg with Badia Complete Seasoning, and a cup of coffee or (recently) hot green tea. This morning I had 1 hard-boiled eggs and a small banana with a cup of instant coffee (no sugar or artificial sweeteners, just a splash of French Vanilla non-dairy creamer). No lunch today as I was working. No clue as to what dinner will bring yet, but that's where my calories add up.

Don't forget to add the cocoa to your banana. Its like having a dessert and oh so good for you as well. A Tbsp. of cocoa is only 20 calories and boasts 1 fiber and 1 protein as well as antioxidants and a wealth of other good things. Sure to put a smile on your face! I try to record my days meals in advance so I can see the calories and keep on target with my Fiber as well. It is important to keep things moving! Then I can add or delete the cocoa and popcorn accordingly. Popcorn air popped /plain I think is 33 calories a cup with 1 fiber and 1 protein as well. Sometimes I am not even hungry enough to need it, yet fiber is also important. Apples are great for you and do keep the doctor away with all their goodness, low calories for a whopping 4 fiber! Chick peas are another great source of both protein and fiber , even a cup of green peas with dinner comes in under 100 calories for 7 fiber. Hope these tips may help keep you on course and feeling more sated.
