Wednesday night. Quick journal, my head is hurting badly I need to sleep.
Had my third class last weekend, got excellent marks (96% on both theory and massage practice) and it was a great time learning, as usual. Only two weeks before my practicum starts, I am nervous.

Yesterday I booked a massage at the clinic where I will work, I wanted to experience as a client, before going on "the other side". I must say the service was not exceptional, maybe because they knew who I was... But the massage was incredible and actually needed. And that's why I'm having a migraine tonight, every time they work on my neck, I get headaches... 6 hours drive today didn't help, it was a long day with little sleep!

This time, I am decided. Going back to exercise. Today, well, cramps and migraine prevented me from working out. Hopefully by the end of the week the cramps will be gone and I am back on track! I just can't stand it anymore. Realistic goal, 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week. Lifting, alternate upper and lower body. I just need to re-start somewhere. And compound exercises right now with so little strenght are not appealing. I need to re-build a foundation, I can see how much muscle I lost... And, if I need an incentive, there is graduation dinner at the end of March... I will be back to strong by then!

Time to sleep.

Congrats on the awesome marks! Good idea to try out the clinic as a patron to get a feel for it. Literally! LOL. Too bad about your headache afterward but I'm sure the benefits outweighed the side effects. I'm excited for you to get back to your lifting. I was just commenting in my journal today how I noticed some loss of strength after just one week off and I was rather upset by it. So I totally sympathize how you "just can't stand it anymore". You're smart to start with the stabilizer muscles first. Back to basics. I'll be interested to hear about your progress. Oliver told me that if you lose muscle mass, it comes back on faster than when you first had to build it. I'd like to see actual proof that he was right! Good luck :)

Yea Anne you are doing great and when you are working there you will make sure they improve their service.lol Cramps and a migrane? That's awful and the drive must have sucked. I hope today finds you better. I think your workout goals are realistic. You would be proud of me lol . I am having a great time with Steve and that work out stuff. Just the change up I needed.

I am so happy for you Anne that time is healing and helping you to move on to all the wonderful things that are waiting for you. Wow all kinds of schooling and certifications. New friends. In a couple more months you will have a whole new life. You know that the muscle comes back so quickly and you will be back where you were in no time at all. I am happy you are making a real grocery list and starting to eat again. Yea for you!! Hugs! Oh and stay warm..
