Today is a better day emotionally - I feel less sad about my friend's mom.

Only minus 10 degrees this morning with sunshine, so off to Orange Theory today. During the last few visits, I have added the rowing machine back - not heavy pulls like my usual - but getting the motion and engaging my arms. Also started using my arms on the elliptical last week.

Idiot Box is absolutely stuck between 168/169 so no real movement. I will bring the total carbs back down a notch and see where it leads me.

I am eating well and drinking all my water so there is probably inflammation somewhere in the body. Inflammation is sneaky!

Goal Calories: 1150/1175 or less, and carbs under 20/25 total grams

Macros: 55-65%/30-40%/5-10%

Short Range Goals: 2019
* Down on the Idiot Box while rebuilding muscle after surgery-log weekly
* Bodyfat% reading with trainer May/June/July 2019
* Drink at least 12-14 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days
* Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting five days a week
* Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload

Long Range Goals: 2019

Careful using those arms, HCB! It's going to heal up sooner or later and if you pull something it could take a lot longer. Patience. You are doing great!

@Sandy M2B Thanks for caring - not really doing any movement right now that can pull anything. The swelling is almost gone and the internal stitches have nearly dissolved. Trust me, I am slowly rehabbing myself!

that is good to go slow but why are you going so low on calories?? if you keep those carbs down you should be able to eat a little more and still do fine. I am always concerned when active people seem to eat too little.

@Baskington - not really trying to eat less - I just choose to only eat if I am hungry. Sometimes my appetite wanes...

yes I have had that problem for a while and got into trouble. Now I make sure I get enough calories in my day. nothing wrong with having rotation days, but healing you need to make sure you keep up your energy. just color me a worrywart. LOL!

HCB, take it easy on those arms and don't push too hard. Inflammation is sneaky. Scale being stuck means nothing if you are starting to get back in shape. Keep in mind using muscles again means fluid retention to heal those teeny muscle tears that happen.
