Today, I DID IT! For the first time in FOREVER, I actually put on my walking shoes and walked around the perimeter of our 10-acre property. With having lost some more weight, I was able to walk faster than I used to. In 12 minutes, I walked a little over 1/2 mile. At first, I put it into the Exercise Diary as SLOW walking (2mph), but it didn’t show the same amount of calories burned as it was showing on my Walkmeter app. So, I tried entering it at MODERATE Walking (3mph), and the numbers lined up almost perfectly. I don’t think I’ve EVER walked in the Moderate speed range. I only did the 1/2 mile, because I didn’t want to overdo it on my first attempt AND because I also need to do knee exercises (post knee replacements in both knees), which I also haven’t done in as long as I can remember.
