So, I am going to work to be formally fired today. Uh, what a nice Monday...
Yesterday night I could not sleep for this reason, so before I even realized I have eaten half a chocolate bar. At least I did not eat the second half, just because I started listening to a "relax yourself' mp3 and did not think of chocolate anymore. It took me 4 hours to fall asleep since the moment I went to bed and I felt like sleeping.
As soon as I come back home, I will go on updating my resume and preparing stuff to apply for other jobs. It seems all so unreal, but it's real.
In a way, loosing my job seems to be a minor problem, compared to my mom's death and divorcing. On the other side, the thing I really don't like is that I will have to move to another place, and it's super annoying, since I am making friends here and I got to know the place and started feeling home here.
Things I am thankful for today:
-starting a new chapter of my life
-being strong enough to face life
-not feeling depressed because of job loss.

Good for you - that is a productive attitude! Look for alternatives that can bring you happiness - the last time I left a job, I went into business for myself! It became the best thing that ever happened when I was laid off.

You've got the right attitude, keep it up!
I divorced within a few months of my Dad's stroke, and because my ex-wife and I owned a business, I elected to leave it and go back to school to earn my entomology degrees. So, big moves emotionally & geographically. I worked hard at bettering myself and grew immensely. Now happily married to another 'skyscraper' and we have an amazing 5 yr old boy. Life is indeed grand, even when it's the pits, you are on 'this side of the green'!
