Been awhile since I made the mistake of not ordering something small when out & about. Most cafes do huge serves just to make their menu seem good value.

Being hungry at the time interfered with my usual restraint...

Oh but that looks good! I haven’t come across anything like that here in the US. When I get a large portion I divide in half. I eat half and ask for a box for the other half. I take it home and have for lunch the next day.

My other half & I usually buy an entree serve if we can, & share it. If we’re still hungry after that we can always buy an entree of another dish & share that. On the day I encountered this we’d been out too long before deciding to eat. Lost our usual routine...
