haven't been having lots of success losing weight, I'm 16, and a ballerina, I watch my calories intake, eat enough protien and do all of that I've only lost two pounds leaving me at 123, I don't know what to do 😢

So, how long have you been trying to take off weight? It looks like three days??? One to two pounds per week is normal. It takes time and you must eat enough good calories to stay healthy.

you do look slim and you need to eat to keep up with the work you are doing you can not do well with the low numbers I see you log. and you definitely need a lot more protein than I see listed too. fat and protein are important for energy. If you really need to lose weight, look into keto diet plan. no to very low carbs and it does work.

Losing 5# should take you at least 3 weeks. I’m going on the assumption that you aren’t obese and rather close to your ideal weight? The closer you get the harder it is to get it off. I’m 10-15# from my goal, 5-7 from my ideal, and it’s becomifn much harder to shed the pounds. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Be sure you are eating healthy foods. Consider eating 0.8-1.2 grams of protein per pound of weight. More if you are heavily muscled. (120-125g daily for your average). I tend to do well on 100-120g at 130-135# with 2-3 times a week lifting weights and working out. There are online calculators that can tell you about where you need to be calorie wise Try that for 2 weeks then subtract 100-200 calories a day if needed but stay 1200 or more. Going to low will make your body think it’s not going to get food and it’ll hang on to more fat. @@@@@@@@ There are many diets. Carbs and fats I believe are the same as far as energy. This is where it would be best to talk to your parents or a trusted family member. CICO isn’t for everyone and Keto isn’t either. Your parents would be the best people to guide you as to which foods to eat. I personally do moderate carbs/fats/protein. Sometimes I adjust if needed. Example: add more protein and cut out some fat. Some days I’ll cut out some carbs. Your body will tell you what you need more of :). The most important thing for you at your age is making sure you get adequate nutrition to meet your needs. Your doctor can also help you with this and perhaps your dance teacher.

Have you used any of the online calculators? If you tell us your height and your body fat % if you know it maybe we can look it up for you :). Honestly your 2# loss in 3 days is good. That’s my monthly loss at the moment, but I’m also much older than you.

I had the same problem. I am also a dancer so I understand the struggle of not seeing the difference. Remember you are constantly gaining muscle. 1 lb of muscle takes up the space that about .25 lb of fat takes up. This might cause your weight loss to slow. Try varying your calorie intake to keep your body guessing and to keep it from going into ‘starvation mode’. Also it is hard to see a difference when all you do is stare at yourself in the mirror. Keep working hard at and results will come. It took me almost a year to figure out what worlk for me.

if you are eating healthy, do not do anything. I do not know your body size, but 123lbs for a 16 year old is down right awesome, unless you are tall then this would be down right to small. try to exercise more just to sweat off some toxins, this may make you feel as thin as you really are💞
