I drastically went over my calories yesterday. I felt better eating just the ribeye instead of adding the pork belly, but still had limited symptoms. I had a coffee an hour later and had limited response to it.

I got a great nights sleep, slept in until 4;30 which is awesome. I normally can't stay in bed past 3am lately. My muscles were moderately tight, nothing like the constriction I have been dealing with lately.

I decided to test the coffee by itself this morning. I had mild reaction, some muscle tightening that disappated within the hour. some brain fog. Adding the sugar the past couple days coupled with overeating yesterday I knocked myself out of ketosis, which is no biggy. Lots of liquids and feeling pretty pretty loose now.

Normally I force myself to eat in the morning whether I am ready or not, this morning I decided to wait until I get a signal to eat. I have plenty in the tank leftover from yesterday. Suprizingly I dropped a half pound overnight. See how over the next couple days this pans out.

I did my heavy resistance work this morning and while I had to be careful of my chest muscle I pulled a couple days ago, it went much better. a couple more days of healing and I should be able to go back to my normal routine. I normally do 2 series twice a day. but today I will back off and let it heal.

I finally ate around 11 oclock, just a little bit of steak to tide me over. My husband is going stir crazy as the weather is rainy and he has not been able to go on his boat for 2 days. so as usual,,,, he wanted to go out and buy something. So my routine is a bit disrupted as I needed to go with him. It was nice to get out and about. We got a new fridge since lowes has such a great sale this weekend. At least it wasn't a car this time. LOL!

and interesting, I just checked my ketones and I am back in ketosis. I did not think the little bit of sugar would make much difference over the coarse of the day. If I can manage the coffee without anything that would be best.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a mix of foods that has the biggest effect. Your coffee with cream and sugar seemed to affect you less than any of them on their own.

Minatata, I think somehow the mix compliments the protein diet. the organic coffee does not effect me like the standard coffee does. I saw on Dr Jockers site that he recommended organic. Normally anything healthy for me has caused me problems so this is a pleasant change. I really miss my coffee. I will be trying it without the cream. The cream does seem to effect me.
